Your physiotherapist will ask you questions about the problem you are having and what it is stopping you from doing. They will also ask you about any medical history you may have and about any medications you are on. If you have any Xrays/scans please feel free to bring these with you.
The physiotherapist will then examine you. Please be aware that if you have an upper limb problem we will examine your neck and if you have a lower limb problem we will examine your back. If order for us to examine you fully we often require you to undress down to your underwear, please feel free to bring a vest top or a pair of shorts if you prefer.
First appointments are 45 minutes and any subsequent follow up appointments are usually 30 minutes, however an hour follow up appointment can be booked if required.
Physiotherapists have a wide range of skills they can use to treat your symptoms. Each patient is individually assessed and a treatment plan is devised to address the patient’s needs. Your diagnosis and treatment plan is fully explained to you and your consent gained.

If you are using medical insurance, then we invoice most companies directly on your behalf. If you are self-paying, then cash, cheque and all debit and credit cards are all accepted.
If you are unable to attend your appointment please contact the clinic asap 020 8650 5353 or info@physio-forward.co.uk to rearrrange. We require 24 hrs notice for any cancellations. Less than 24 hrs will result in you being charged for your appointment.

Most insurance companies require you to see your GP or a consultant who will authorise physiotherapy treatment for your problem. Once your treatment is authorised you will be given an authorisation number please contact the clinic 020 8650 5353 info@physio-forward.co.uk to book an appointment. You will need to bring your membership number and your authorisation code with you to your first appointment.
Yes. The physiotherapists at Physioforward work as first-line practitioners. This means you do not need to see a doctor before coming to physiotherapy. If following your assessment, the physiotherapist feels your problem requires further investigations such as Xrays/scans or blood tests, with your permission we will write to your GP with our recommendations.
