General Questions

Yes. All physiotherapists at Physioforward are HCPC registered. If you require the individual HCPC number for your physiotherapist, please call the clinic on 020 8650 5353

Your physiotherapist will ask you questions about the problem you are having and what it is stopping you from doing. They will also ask you about any medical history you may have and about any medications you are on. If you have any Xrays/scans please feel free to bring these with you.

The physiotherapist will then examine you. Please be aware that if you have an upper limb problem we will examine your neck and if you have a lower limb problem we will examine your back. If order for us to examine you fully we often require you to undress down to your underwear, please feel free to bring a vest top or a pair of shorts if you prefer.

First appointments are 45 minutes and any subsequent follow up appointments are usually 30 minutes, however an hour follow up appointment can be booked if required.

Physiotherapists have a wide range of skills they can use to treat your symptoms. Each patient is individually assessed and a treatment plan is devised to address the patient’s needs. Your diagnosis and treatment plan is fully explained to you and your consent gained.

Our treatment plans can consist of any of the following modalities:

  • Hands on treatments: manipulation, Joint mobilisations, Soft tissue massage, massage
  • Ultrasound
  • Exercises
  • Stretches
  • Acupuncture
  • First appointment (45mins) £75
  • Follow up appointments (30mins) £57
  • 1 hour appointments £95

If you are using medical insurance, then we invoice most companies directly on your behalf. If you are self-paying, then cash, cheque and all debit and credit cards are all accepted.

If you are unable to attend your appointment please contact the clinic asap 020 8650 5353 or info@physio-forward.co.uk to rearrrange. We require 24 hrs notice for any cancellations. Less than 24 hrs will result in you being charged for your appointment.

Yes. Physioforward is recognised by all major medical insurance companies. Please contact your insurance company prior to starting treatment. Most companies require authorisation from your GP or a consultant for physiotherapy treatment. Your insurance company will also be able to tell you if there are any restrictions on your treatment, such as the number of physiotherapy appointments they will pay for, if there is a timescale for you to complete treatment or if you are liable for an excess payment on your policy.

Most insurance companies require you to see your GP or a consultant who will authorise physiotherapy treatment for your problem. Once your treatment is authorised you will be given an authorisation number please contact the clinic 020 8650 5353 info@physio-forward.co.uk to book an appointment. You will need to bring your membership number and your authorisation code with you to your first appointment.

Yes. The physiotherapists at Physioforward work as first-line practitioners. This means you do not need to see a doctor before coming to physiotherapy. If following your assessment, the physiotherapist feels your problem requires further investigations such as Xrays/scans or blood tests, with your permission we will write to your GP with our recommendations.

Yes. There is a car park free of charge. Evenings and Saturday morning the club can be busy so please allow a little extra time to park. If on any occasion the car park is full there is ample roadside parking, no permits are required.

Yes. The nearest train station is Beckenham Junction which is approximately a 25 minute walk and 5 minute car ride from the clinic. There is a taxi service at the station, new regency cars 020 8650 1717

The ParkLangley club is on the 352 bus route, Wickham Way is a hail and ride section of the route and is also on the 194 bus route

Unfortunately we are unable to offer home visits at present, however we do have colleagues that provide this service and can pass on their details to you.
Yes. We are happy to treat children from the age of 10 onwards. All children are to be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Please inform our receptionist if the appointment is for a child.
